So....looks like it's all come together quite nicely. I should be out of Ontario by the end of Feb. Meanwhile, I've been busy. I fought a pesky infection over New Years, and managed to scare most of my patients with my nasty-looking nose. And then, after working throughout that entire business -with an IV in my hand, no less, I decided I needed to take some time off. Meant to spend 2 days in Collingwood, and ended up staying for 4. And what a difference that short time can make! The first couple of days, it was wet, heavy snow. Not the best, but I could survive the ride to the base of the hill. Then, a deep freeze overnight lead to hills that were ice. Pure, glassy, dangerous ice. I took a blue run to the bottom, and ended up sliding on my ass for....oh....probably 20 or 30 metres. It was that slippery. Which is the reason I left my camera safe in my room, instead of taking it out for the day with me. So, you'll have to be satisfied with some drunken hotel pictures instead -though those were also quite fun to take :)
And, by the way, playing drinking games where someone makes up the rule insisting we all talk in Pirate can be both dangerous and fun. I've got the mini-movies to prove it.....
The view from our hotel room. Talk about "ski-in/ski-out". We couldn't have been any closer to the chairlift if we tried!
Rachel and Aliesha
Our hotel room. Gorgeous....but expensive. No wonder we're all always broke!
Kendrah -just after introducing the "Talk like a pirate" rule....dangerous
Kendrah, attempting to snowboard for the first time. With ice hills and a freezing wind, I'd say she did pretty well. Next time, she'll spend less time on her back :)
Alright, so Ayla didn't actually come along to Collingwood with me. But, I'm a cat lover and couldn't resist this picture. She loves her toys, and that pillow she's laying on says "Princess"....how fitting.
