VEGAS

Well, normally, I would write about all the funny follies that Kendrah and I got ourselves into while on our latest adventure. But....you know the rule....

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

And so, with much restraint, I shall refrain from writing, though it is making me giggle to think of some of the interesting characters and situations we ran into.

THE LUXOR

We stayed at the Luxor, a giant pyramid-shaped hotel. Our hotel room was nice, but it was the pool that really grabbed my attention. It was deliciously decadent and refreshing on those h-o-t, h-o-t, h-o-t Vegas days.

The (dizzying) view from our hotel room

One of our pools. There were 3 in total, and this one was in the middle. Those pillars you can see in the background are actually fountains that spray water into the main pool -very refreshing to swim under.

One day, after grabbing a beer, we found these Chinese massage therapists who were offering foot massages. We found ourselves in a comfy chair, with a beer in hand, while our (aching) feet were pampered. What kind of life are we leading these days?

THE BELLAGIO

The outside of the Bellagio hotel. The water show was pretty cool to watch. It runs every 15min until midnight. That's pretty frequent. Yet, somehow, on her last visit to Vegas, Kendrah managed to miss it EVERY SINGLE TIME!

We splurged (DON'T EVER ASK HOW MUCH WE SPENT) on "O" tickets at the Bellagio our second night in Vegas. It's put on by Cirque du Soleil and featured synchronized swimmers, divers and other performers. I've never been so enthralled by something in my life. In fact, I'd go again....and again....and again....

We sat down to play some slots after watching the show. I thought I was doing well when I was up by about $40 (which I subsequently lost, of course) but then Kendrah hit a good one and ended up winning $165.00. Excellent luck!

At the Bellagio buffet our first night there. Shrimp and crab legs and sushi. I even tried *very rare buffalo. Delicious.

Kendrah, in her new wig. Talk about making her blue eyes pop!

PARIS

THE TROPICANA

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

This was my favourite hotel....until we got to the Venetian. I have decided I love the gaudy, over-the-top Vegas hotels!

We got VIP passes to Coyote Ugly and thought it'd be a fun experience. Umm...that would be a no. There were like 4 girls dancing on the bar (most of them plastered beyond belief) and a room full of guys with their jaws hanging open, oogling them. Talk about a meat-market.

TREASURE ISLAND

WYNN

This place was one of the classiest, expensive places in Vegas. It was Kendrah's favourite, but not gaudy enough for me.

Inside the Wynn hotel. They had an indoor garden and gorgeous coloured tile flowers on the floor

THE VENETIAN

Like I said, it was my favourite. I think it had to do with the water that is everywhere -even inside. So refreshing looking. And though I liked the gondolas, the singing was a little too much for my ears.
